Coastal Explorer is a term coined expressly by Grady-White for this particular model which is also called a bay or coastal boat. It is designed primarily for the angler who wants a fishing boat in shallow water. The bow is typically built with a launch deck and low gunboats that provide anglers with easy access to the water when sailing with a fish, but has a shallower draft to allow them to fish in coastal waters. Structured like a center console boat, the Grady-White Coastal Explorer also has a SeaV² ® hull that offers extra stability for a crossing in both coastal and offshore waters. Where most inshore boats would not be suitable for going offshore, the Grady Coastal Explorer can venture out while still keeping everyone safe and comfortable.
